Managed to go ages without posting again. I’ve got a build up of half finished sketches and ideas that I’m trying to make sense of in order to post…here’s the first of them…

Once, long ago, I was fairly competent with portrait painting… I’ve neglected it lately- my old life drawing teacher would no doubt be disgusted 😉
Book Pitch Stuff
So I posted a character design up a couple of days ago for a quick childrens book pitch I was working on. I only had a couple of days to work on a double page spread for it so it was a bit rushed, but here it is.
It’s a bit rough around the edges, but it shows the general gist of what I would try to do with the style and layout of text etc…
With the turn around so quick on it, I didn’t have much of a chance to flesh out some of the character designs. The science teacher in particular has been bugging me ever since I sent the work- so I took a little while to play with her design and make her a bit more kooky and fun…:)

Hi Guys!
The last few weeks have been pretty busy work-wise, so I’ve neglected to post stuff up here. Hoping to rectify that over the next few days as I’ve built up a lot of sketches etc…
Unfortunately I can’t post what I was doing for work as it’s still in development, but I was working down in Brighton for a few weeks on some stuff for CBeebies 🙂
Anyway, here’s some character development for a children’s book I’m pitching for…
