I’ll have a look at it tomorrow and see if it needs something doing to it….

Yup- an initial colour/mood study for a the animation I have planned… Not quite finished- needs some finessing!

I’ve got an idea for a little animation involving eskimos! It popped into my head when I was meant to be concentrating on some other work- as most of my ideas seem to do… Either that or something really good pops into my head just as I’m about to go to sleep- and I have to blearily scramble for some paper and a pencil 😉

So there was a competition over at deviantart.com that called for people to design a colossus for the game RIFT. I gave it a bash and came up with this… The top image is my basic design for the creature itself, then below it is the image I actually submitted for the comp. You’ll notice that the design for the mask changed quite a bit. I also decided to forgo the glowing crystals on it’s back for a series of patterns on it’s mask…

Yup- these are old… I’ve just found them again- they didn’t get uploaded at the time of painting because of a buggy internet connection. So here they finally are. These are just experiments into colour and composition still- as I find it’s an area that I’m kinda struggling with.
